Senior PDP leader Joins NPP

Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 20: Senior member of PDP Capt. Anil Gour, Chairman Ex-Servicemen Wing alongwith his wing members and other leaders of PDP and their supporters joined Panthers Party today in the presence of Party Chairman and Former Minister, Harsh Dev Singh.
As per these members their foremost reason for their leaving PDP is that after the demise of Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed the party has lost its moorings and strayed away from the ideals- to have an equitable development and employment in all the three regions of the state without any discrimination and remove the mistrust between the three regions of the state on which the party was formed.
It was being felt since the past two years that there was an unnecessary creation of tensions amongst the various communities and regions of Jammu leading to a lot of mistrust amongst the general public.
Not only were the people being divided on community and religious lines but even the Jammu region was being bifurcated on geographical lines leading to many a heartburn and mistrust between the people of the regions.
There has been a total discrimination against the youth in the matters of recruitment at all levels right from the Asst Professors to SPO's and maximum recruitment has been given to the youth of the valley. Martyrs, their Widows and children have not been given the just dues but emphasis was been laid on the rehabilitation and settlement of the surrendered militants. Corruption has scaled new heights and no worthwhile action has been taken on the reports of the Vigilance and Crime branch investigations resulting in the common man suffering for no fault of his.
Hash Dev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Yash Paul Kundal, Manju Singh, Gagan Pratap Singh and others welcomed Capt. Anil Gour all the senior leaders in the party fold and expressed his happiness and belief that with their joining the party will be strengthened at the grassroot level in the state.
Prominent among those who joined Panthers Party included Bheem Sen Gupta, Krishan Kumar Sharma, besides educationists and professionals namely S. Amarjeet Singh S. Harenderjeet Singh, S. Jaswinder Singh, S. Harpreet Singh, Major B.D Sharma, Capt. A.S Reen.
