| Revocation of Shakti’s suspension sought | | VHP stages protest, DBPS condemns action | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 11 Demanding reinstating SHO of Bag-e-Bahu Shakti Sharma, Vishav Hindu Parishad today staged protest demonstration here today condemning the action by the Chief Minister. The protesting VHP activists termed the suspension order by the CM in favour of the SHO as unjust and uncalled for and said instead of rewarding the police officer who had put her life in danger to apprehend bovine smugglers, the administration has punished her. They also burnt the effigy of the chief minister. Flaying the Govt for ordering ex-gratia in favour of the alleged smuggler’s family, senior VHP leader, S L Sharma said that the government is protecting the anti national elements by providing them shelter, ex-gratia and government jobs in unjustiful manner. Meanwhile, Dogra Partinidhi Sabha has also flayed the CM for suspending the SHO At a meeting of the youth wing of the sabha - Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Dal, chaired by president of DBPS Dev Raj Baru, the activists said that that it is very unfortunate that the chief minister has acted in haste and without checking the track record of both the parties, has suspended the officer who was performing her duties faithfully. Baru said that the chief minister in order to save his vote bank has also sanctioned ex-gratia and Govt job for a family member of the smuggler. Among other who spoke on the occasion were, Jagdish Dogra, Rajesh Sharma, Gurdas Sharma, Rishu Prashar and Shanti Saroop Baru. |
