| PHE employees demand regularization | | | Early Times Reporter

The employees of PHE under the banner of Water Works (PHE) Employees Association staged a protest demonstration to express their resentment against non cooperation of PHE department here today.
Speaking on the occasion, President of the association, Shiv Kumar Sharma said that since the department has recruited 15000 persons as CP workers on consolidate basis but no proper criteria was fixed for disbursement of their wages and now department is paying them wages between Rs. 500 to Rs.1800 per month, which is totally violation of labour acts. He added that the state government and PHE department should fulfill the demands of the employees which include payment of arrears, release the pending salaries of CP workers and release of 6 % DA from 1-1-2008.
Among others who spoke on the occasion, were Vinod Kumar, Charan Jeet Singh, Vijay Luthra, Ajay Sharma, Brij Moha, Om Parkash, Manohar Lal and Vijay Kumar.
