| Anita urges govt. ascertain feasibility in opening degree colleges | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu Mar 12 General Secretary JKNPP Anita Thakur has called upon the government to ensure justice to the remote and far flung areas of district Doda by establishing the newly sanctioned college of Chatru area at Mughal Maiden of Dapath in view of larger catchments areas. She said that the proposed areas qualified for establishment of degree college in view of its central location and larger number of feeding schools as compare to any other area. She flayed the government for bringing polities in education and deplored the tendency of opening colleges on extraneous consideration and for vested political motive. She said that several deserving places had been ignored by the government in the matter of opening educational institutional and priority accorded as per the whims and fancies of political workers. Kundan Lal Sharma, and Romesh Khajuria party leaders also urged upon the government to review the locations of the proposed degree college in the state and ensure their establishment at eligible locations after ascertaining their feasibility in terms of population covered, no. of college going students and distance from nearest available college.
