| West Pakistani refugees call on Mangat | | | Early Times Reporter

A deputation of west Pakistani refugees of 1947 led by its President Mr. Baldev Raj, called on Minister for Health, Labour and Employment Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma here today and apprised him of their demands.
The deputationists expressed their gratitude to UPA government, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad and Minister for Health and Medical Education for taking strenuous efforts for settling their long pending demands which included issuance of Domicile certificates and ration for Below Poverty Line families.
They also requested Health Minister to accompany them in meeting with central government authorities for settling remaining issues of refugees.
Sharma gave patient hearing to the deputationists and said that Azad led government was committed to provide equal opportunities of development to all sections of the society. He said historic and exemplary initiatives have been taken up by the government in this regard which have yielded fruitful results at grass root level.
The Minister agreed to accompany them to meet central government authorities for settling other issues of west Pakistani refugees residing in J&K.
