| JMC employees call off strike on Mayor’s assurance | | | Early Times Reporter

The striking employees of the Jammu Municipal Corporation called off their strike following assurance by the newly elected Mayor Kavinder Gupta.
While talking to a deputation of the leaders of the striking employees who are on dharna for the last three days in support of their demands, the Mayor assured that the decision on the charter of demands put forth by the Employees Federation would be taken as soon as the Commission returns back.
However, the Federation reiterated that if no decision as agreed to be by the Mayor is taken within the stipulated time frame; the next course of action would be chalked out in the general body meeting of the Federation.
