| I will reach out to people across the state: Soz | | ’Sonia, PM eager to carry forward dialogue process’ | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Mar 12 Congress President and Union Minister for Water Resources Saif-ud-Din Soz has said that he would reach out to the people across the state for their socio-economic development. In his maiden speech as Jammu and Kashmir, Pradesh Congress President at Sheri-Kashmir Park here on Wednesday, Mr Soz sought cooperation from the party workers to strengthen the party and serve the people. Mr Soz said that UPA Chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi has in a meeting asked him to tell the workers to help people living in length and breadth of the State. Mr Soz said that UPA government came to power to make the country stronger with bright future. Professor Soz said that UPA enjoys the full trust of the people of India adding that UPA government will again emerge as successful winners in the next elections. Referring to some landmark decisions of UPA government, the Congress President said that the farmers and orchardists of the Jammu and Kashmir state would also be benefited by the announcement made by the Union Finance Minister during his budget speech regarding waiving of farm loans. He said Central Government has also made a scheme for the welfare of the labour class working in un-organized sectors adding that right to information and 100 days employment guarantee scheme was introduced in the country. Later addressing media persons Soz said government would continue to endeavour for faster development. He said that the coalition government will complete its full term and people have reposed trust in it. Regarding bilateral relations between India and Pakistan, Soz said that UPA Government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is eager to carry the dialogue process forward. He said that his aim is to serve the people adding that both Azad and he (Prof. Soz) have decided to work for welfare of the people. Thanking UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi Manmohan Singh for reposing trust in him and appointing as JKPCCI President; he said he would try his best to translate the dream of a strong congress into reality by the people and workers in length and breadth of the Jammu and Kashmir.
