| NMC demands Chairman of 6th Pay Commission | | |

National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for appointment of chairman and other members of the 6th Pay Commission without any further delay to enable it to start functioning and submit its report well in time.
Addressing a workers rally here today, the President of NMC Subash Shastri said even as the union cabinet has already approved the constitution of the 6th Pay Commission, the notification to this effect has not been issued so far. He said the government should not delay any further in constitution of the Commission.Shastri has also demanded immedate announcement of Rs 1000 per month as interim relief and submission of report by the commission at the earliest. |
