| BJP MPs stage sit-in in Parliament complex | | | New Delhi | Mar 12 BJP MPs today staged a sit-in inside the Parliament complex demanding dismissal of Kerala government alleging violence against their workers. The agitating members said LDF government should be dismissed inthe wake the Kerala High Court order for deploymemt of central forces to prevent political clashes in Kannur district of the state. Members waving placards which read 'murder of democracy' and 'sack Kerala government' also supported the High Court order and charged the state government with failing to maintain law and order. The MPs were led by senior leaders like Venkaiah Naidu and Murli Manohar Joshi. Senior BJP leader V K Malhotra said yesterday's Kerala High Court observation was a "slap on the face" of CPI(M) and the state Government. He said the Centre should immediately direct the Kerala government to restore peace in Kannur and if the state refused to comply, it should take action against it. Malhotra also trained his guns at CPI(M) Kerala state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan for criticising the High Court, saying it shows that the Marxist party has no respect for judiciary. Instead of taking steps to restore peace in Kannur, the party is criticising the High Court observation, he said. The BJP Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha also rejected a list released by the CPI(M) of its workers allegedly killed by BJP- RSS activists in Kannur in the last two years. "It is false. RSS has nothing to do with the murders. RSS does not believe in violence," he said. He also sought to play down the Supreme Court order to transfer the trial of Professor H S Sabharwal murder case from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh to Nagpur in Maharashtra and rejected suggestions that fair trails are not possible in BJP-ruled states.
