Over 50 people led by Surinder Sharma, joined BJP today. They were welcomed into the party-fold by BJP State President Ashok Khajuria and State Gen. Secretary Shamsher Singh Manhas.
Surinder Sharma, before jumping into the political field had served Bajrang Dal as its State President and State General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
Vishnu Dutt Sharma, who also joined BJP today, had contested the election to the JMC in the year 2005.
The new entrants were garlanded by Ashok Khajuria and other senior leaders of the party on joining BJP.
Speaking on the occasion the BJP Chief said that a pro-BJP wave is being witnessed in whole of the state and not only the common masses but even leaders of the political parties have realized that it is the BJP only which is concerned for the welfare of the people and strengthening the nationalist forces. He said the past five year rule of the Congress-PDP coalition has only added problems for the people. Even the staunch supporters of the Congress and PDP are now openly opposing its anti-people and anti-youth policies.
The BJP chief disclosed that a number of political and social figures of the state will be embracing BJP in the coming days to strengthen the nationalist forces.
Janipur Bazar Association Gen. Secretary Manoj Gupta, retired army officers Lal Chand and Atma Singh, Ashok Kumar, Sham Lal, Anil Choudhary, P.L. Raina, Bachan Chalotra, Ani Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Somnath, Raman Dev, Yash Pal, Ramesh Chander, S.P. Bagga, Kalyan Dutt, Sham Lal Sharma, Kumar Singh Chib, Ran Singh Manhas, Om Parkash Baru, Chaman Lal, Ashok Kumar Chalotra, Parvesh Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Sandeep Kumar Sudesh ji, Rocky Kumar and Bittu were prominent among those who joined the BJP along with Surinder Sharma.
