Mohinder Kumar bags first prize in Rangoli competition

Jammu, Sept 27: The competitions of Debate and Rangoli were conducted today in 'Display Your Talent-2018-19'organized by the Department of Students Welfare at University of Jammu. Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, Assistant Dean (SW), Dr. Anil Gupta, students and scholars were present at the occasion.
Seerat Baji from Dept. of English and Idris Ahmed from GDC Doda shared the First position. The Second prize was awarded to Sanchit Raina from MAM College. The Third position was awarded to Shahzeb Hussain from Dept. of English.
The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Mehula Khajuria and Sameeha Sharma both from GCET, Ankita Sharma from The Law School and Nitish Sharma from MAM College. The topic for the debate was "Social and Psychological perversion has increased with the educational turn of India in the 21st Century." Prof. Chanchal Dogra, Dr. Neena Gupta and Dr. Saurabh Srivastava were the Judges and Dr. Garima Gupta was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
In Rangoli, Mohinder Kumar from GGM Science College, Monika Bhalla from GCW Parade and Vidushi Bamotra from GCW Udhampur stood First, Second & Third respectively. The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Preeti from Surya College, Sheetal Sharma from IMFA and Priya Sharma from GDC Akhnoor. Sh. Jagpal Singh Bandral & Sh. Mukul Magotra were the judges and Dr. Smridhi Arora was the Teacher Incharge of the event.
In Essay Writing Competition, Kamalpreet from The Law School, Ajay Vaid from Department of Pol. Science, JU and Sumriti from GGZSMDC, Reasi were declared First, Second and Third respectively. In Short Story Writing, Nitasha Singh from Dept. of Psychology, JU,Saial Gupta from GCW Parade and Areca Raina from JAIR stood First, Second and Third respectively.
The Certificate of Merit was Awarded to Ahsaan Ali from GDC Paloura. Students who have secured First Prizes in different events of Display Your Talent 2018, will be felicitated at the Valedictory Function on 28-09-18 at 1 pm at Gen. Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
