Birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Ji celebrated

The birth anniversary of 6th Guru Hargobind Maharaj was celebrated at Gurdwara Digiana Ashram Jammu with zeal and enthusiasm. Thousand of devotees participated in this religious Smagam.
The Shabad Kirtan was recited by Giani Bachan Singh Ragi. The speakers threw light on the life of Guru Ji. They said that Guru Ji has built Sri Akal Takhat Sahib at Amritsari. He many battles against then rulers and were two Kirpans (Swords) namely Miri and Piri. Guru Ji said that human should have capacity to fight against cruelty and injustice and gave the message of love and equality among humanity.
While appreciating the role of Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch and present Mahant Manjit Singh in the field of religious education and technical education, they said that 400 Kanals of land is being purchased and medical college is being started in future. The documents are being prepared in this connection. Mahant Ji is also invited to India and abroad for spreading Sikhism.
Many resolutions were passed on the stage and their implementation demanded from J&K Govt. led by Ghulam Nabi azad Chief Minister of J&K.
Implementation of Punjabi language in the schools. The permanent settlement of 1947 refugees of POK, reservation of 4 seats in assembly and counsel. Also bringing the Sikh Bastis under Muncipality adjoining city like Gole Gujral, Chatha, gadi Garh, Bandu rakh and Beli Charana. The release of innocent Sikhs who are in jails after 1984. Appointment of judges in High Court and also a Sikh Minister in the J&K Cabinet. A Sikh member in the Public Service Commission and in the J&K Service Selection Board. Appointing Sikh Gurudwara Judicial Commission on the basis of SGPC Amrita to check the mistakes of Distt. Gurudwaara Parbandak Committee and State Gurudwara Board which can take action against both the bodies if they are found guilty.
Others who participated in the religious are Sudaarshan Singh Wazir Ex President State Gurudwara Prabandak Board, Narbir Singh President Shiromani Youth Akali Dal, Mahinder Singh Chief Organizer, Bhai Kanya Nishkam Sewa Society, Paramjeet Singh President AISSF J&K, Master Amar Singh President Sikh Welfare Society Gajan Singh Chairman Sikh Sanagat J&K, Manmohan Singh Chairman Gole Gujjral, Kultar Singh Chatha and Darshan Singh.
