| TBS releases brochure | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 13 University of Jammu today announced the start of MBA admissions at its Jammu Kathua and Bhaderwah campuses for the year 2008. In a simple but an impressive function, Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Vice- Chancellor, University of Jammu released the MBA admission brochure for the year 2008 at The Business School (TBS). The function was attended by all the faculty members, research scholars, staff and students of The Business School. In his message to the students, Mattoo said that The Business School, in the last couple of years has achieved remarkable milestones. While appreciating the recent initiatives of the constitution of governing board, infrastructural transformation & development, start of technology enabled computer lab, augmented corporate networking, globally accepted faculty driven research, corporate consultancy and eclectic placements, Mattoo said that he is very confident that The Business School is on the threshold of making new highs after having attained a position in the top 10 Uniersity B-Schools of India. On this occasion Prof. Keshav Sharma, Director, The Business School in his address attributed the recent milestones attained to the leadership and vision provided by the esteemed Vice- Chancellor, Padms Shri Prof. Mattoo. He said his magnanimous approach towards institution building on global benchmarks drives the team at the Business School to deliver results of such standard. He further urged upon the students to adopt Mattoo as their role model in their future corporate endeavours. Sharma informed that recently The Business School has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Bharti Foundation, New Delhi wherein the latter has agreed to give scholarships with Rs. 50,000 to two students every year. He also informed that under the convenorship of Prof. BC Sharma, the students of the 4th semester MBA program have received tremendous placement opportunities. This year, a ready, over 12 companies have visited the campus and have offered jobs to the students. Prof. JR Dhotra, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies in his address informed that recently it has been announced that a Centre of Cross Cultural Management will also the setup in The Business School under the guidance of Prof. Neeru Rohmetra. The school has recently been awarded the prestigious UGC-SAP project on Tourism Development with Prof. Ashok Ajma being the coordinator for the same.
