| Bhim: Condition of rural areas is deplorable | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 13 Bhim Singh, chairman Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) after completing tour of silver jubilee celebrations of the party to various part of the state lambasted over the functioning of state coalition government. Addressing a press conference here today, Bhim said the condition of people living in rural areas is pitiable and the administration pays no attention for their upliftment. He said these people are deprived of all basic facilities, ration cards till date are not renewed, beside there is not entry of new barns, he said and added there are 10,000 persons who are militancy victims, and till date they have not been paid any relief, while on the other hand militants and there families have been provided pensions. He said both central and state development schemes have been totally ignored in rural areas, teaching staff to newly created colleges and schools has gone down by 50% as they have been attached to in Jammu. He said condition of roads has gone from bad to worse, which include Bhaderwah-Ramban, Goot-Mahore, Bhaderwah-Chamba, and Bani He also said that 100 day job guarantee scheme in hilly and backward areas of the state has proved a disaster as 90% card holders have not been provided any work. He also criticized CM for withdrawing security cover to panther party leaders. He sought dissolution of state assembly and urged to hold elections under governor’s rule with independent observers.
