A Lashkar-e-Toiba (LET) militant was arrested from a village in Bhaderwah tehsil of Doda district, police said on Sunday. On specific information regarding the movement of a militant in Seri Bazaar in Bhaderwah, a search was conducted by a police party in the district on Saturday, they said adding that during the operation the militant, identified as Irshad Ahmed, was taken into custody. The militant, who belongs to Dhreja village of Bhaderwah tehsil, during preliminary interrogation, revealed that he was responsible for throwing a grenade near a graveyard in Bhaderwah on August 20, 2006. He was a close associate of Pakistani-based LET Commander Yasir Nabi operating in Bhaderwah area, they said. The militant has been sent for detailed interrogation, the sources said.
