Jammu | Mar 14
Faqir Nath, MLA, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, today challenged the FIR lodged against him by the Domana Police Station in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court describing the impugned FIR fabricated, ill motivated and far from the facts.
In his petition filed in the High Court, Fariq Nath submitted that the registration of FIR is fabricated and ill motivated against the petitioner and same is liable to be quashed. The petitioner maintained that prima facie the offences alleged in the FIR are not germane in the complaint and are based on whims and fancies of the police officers. He also denied of having dead drunk and maintained there was nothing on record to show that any medical examination of the petitioner was conducted to prove the allegation leveled against him in the FIR.
The petitioner further submitted that the FIR, which was an after thought and penned by the high ups to involve the reputed MLA of the Panthers Party, requires to be quashed in the interest of justice and demanded that a judicial enquiry into the matter be ordered.
