Adhoc, contractual staff extends strike

On the last day of 72 hours strike called by the consolidated contractual and adhoc employees of health and medical education, the committee has decided to extend their strike for three days. At a meet held here today chairman Medical Employees Association (MEA) Baldev Raj Nargotra said that the medical employees which are serving various hospital for last 15 years are being provided meager pay ranging from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2000 which is in violation of labour laws.
Speaking on the occasion, president Medical Employees Federation (MEF), Sushil Soodan appealed the government as earliest so that the working in the various hospitals starts running smoothly .
