Challan produced in Dy Adv Gen murder case

Police today presented challan in murder case of Ajit Singh Dogra, Deputy Advocate General, against seven accused namely Vikas Sharma alias Vishu, Ashok Kumar alias Shoka, Amrish Khjauria alias Max, Labha Ram alias Sanjay, Raj Kumar alias Raju, Gourav Sharma alias Dana and Mohan Singh alias Mona u/s 302/ 341/147/149/34 RPC r/w section 4/25 Arms Act, in the Court of CJM Jammu.
CJM, Jammu Sanjeev Gupta committed the challan to the Court of Principal Sessions Judge, Jammu with the observations that sections 302 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act are exclusively tribale by the Court of Sessions.
According to the challan the accused by forged registries had sold the land of one Haqiqat Rai, upon this Late Ajit Singh Dogra filed a case against the accused alleging that the accused sold the land on fictitious documents. On this, the accused persons with a common intention on January 10, 2008 had stopped the vehicle of AJit Dogra and started firing and thereafter attacked him with sharp edge weapons with the intention to kill him. Dogra in a serious condition was admitted in the GMC Jammu and later was shifted to Delhi where he died. After completion of the investigation of the case, challan was presented in the Court of CJM Jammu, who committed the same to the Court of Principal Sessions Judge Jammu for the trial of the accused persons. All the accused persons were brought from the District Jail to the Court. The Court directed the Superintendent District Jail Jammu to produce them before the Sessions Court.
The government has appointed Adv RK Kotwal as Special Public Prosecutor in this case. JNF
