| Question paper leaked: BOSE cancels exam | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 15 Thousands of candidates appearing in on going annual matriculation examinations on Saturday were forced to go back home without taking their exams as the JK School Education Board authorities cancelled home science and life science papers scheduled for today following the complaints that it has been leaked. The Board has ordered an inquiry into the matter and rescheduled the dates for the papers to be held today. Official sources said that the cancellation of paper was announced at the eleventh hour after the state Board of School Education (BOSE) received the complaints that some students have managed to get the question paper in advance. The next date for conducting the exam for the paper has been fixed on March 29. Near about fifty thousand students are appearing in the matric exam which started on March 10. Official sources quoting BOSE chairman Nisar Gania said an inquiry committee, which will be headed by Professor V Gupta, has been constituted to look into the matter. The Bose authorities have assured that stern action would be taken against those who would be found involved in leaking the question paper. |
