| Hizb ultra killed, two civilians injured by militants | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER SRINAGAR | AUGUST 27 Militants shot at and critically injured two persons while an ultra of pro-Pakistan Hizbul Mujahideen outfit was killed and another owing allegience to Lashkar-e-Toiba was nabbed in Jammu and Kashmir since last evening, police said today. Militants sprayed bullets from close range on Mohammad Shafi Malik and Abdul Qayoom Pandit at Arwani-Bijbehara, 45 kms from here in Anantnag district last evening, injuring them critically, a police spokesman said. The injured were shifted to the Bones and Joint Hospital in Srinagar. Both the victims, working as contractors, had reportedly been asked by militants to pay donations to them, the spokesman said adding, police are investigating the matter. He said a militant of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit, Nooruddin Khan, was killed in a gunfight with security forces at Wurpash area of Ganderbal, 27 kms from here last evening. One AK rifle, four magazines, 165 rounds and a grenade were recovered from the slain militant, he added. An LeT militant was nabbed by police in Bhaderwah area of Doda district last evening, he said. The arrested militant was a close associate of Pakistan-based LeT Commander Yasir Nabi who is operating in Bhaderwah area and involved in several incidents, including hurling of a grenade near a graveyard on August 20, the spokesman added
