Mendhar, Oct 9: The residents of Parat village today staged protest demonstration against Rural Development Department (RDD) Mendhar block.
They were demanding release of pending payments of MGNREGA job card holders. The protesters assembled at Parat village and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
Ch Zaffer Iqbal said that under MGNREGA, no material cost and skill labour for the 2016-17 - 18 has been paid to the common public and job card holders.
He further alleged that all plans are prepared in a closed room and the general public is unaware about the schemes. Mostly in all the Panchayat of this Mendhar block, only influential workers are getting paid and poor workers are ignored. |
