| Poonch people accuse forest officials of apathy | | |

Poonch, Oct 10: Although government of Jammu and Kashmir is claiming to provide neat and clean governance in the state but these assertions are like towers of sand in air as all is not well at grass root level in border district Poonch.
According to the sources Poonch people are apprehensive of some tall tress which they feel may fall on their houses.
People from different wards of the Poonch town have expressed their anguish over the negligence of the forest department and district administration which remained unmoved when the matter was taken up with them repeatedly.
Locals informed our sources that, the department was looking active during the tenure of farmer forest minister Sh. Lal Singh but now no one is taking action as the people continue to suffer.
They have sought intervention of the governor. |
