BIS students attend 2nd Military History Seminar at Welham Boys' School Dehradun

JAMMU, Oct 10: The students of British International School, Sainik Colony, Jammu attended a two day 2nd Military History Seminar at The Welham Boys' School, Dehradun.
Students from 38 schools from across the country participated in the event. The seminar was divided into 4 syndicates which were: i) India's Security Perspective: India's relations with China. ii) Women in Armed Forces. iii) Art Exhibition- Free Expression in any medium. iv) Missile board Attack on Karachi and Gwadar. The topics chosen were from various vantage points where from one could appreciate the vast landscape, which has shaped the Indian Military History.
Air Marshal Philip Rajkumar inaugurated the second edition of the Military History Seminar. Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain delivered an insightful and memorable talk on Kashmir -The Way Forward. KVK Murthy delivered a talk entitled: A Talk on Beyond Siachen: My Travel to Sinkiang. Lt Gen Loomba presided as judge of Aap Ki Adalat while Cdr Ashok Dewan and Vice Admiral Koppikar took the witness box to discuss Missile Boat Attack on Karachi and Gwadar. Lt Gen PC Bhardwaj presided as Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony of the Military History Seminar 2018.
The moving tribute to the four wars fought by India was interspersed with songs and culminated in a spectacular march past by RIMC, Hopetown, WGS and WBS.
Enthusiastic students were nudged to engage in research-oriented framework so as to develop into well-informed individuals. The presentations brought fervor to the Seminar through the passionate debates, deliberations and visual art expressions.
