| Khoda for professional policing to control crime | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 15 Expressing satisfaction over law and order situation in the state, the Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda today stressed for saving youth from crimes and other social evils, adding that youth are future. Khoda asked for developing modern communication system for better deliverance and understanding to improve the day-to-day professional policing. He said that close rapport between police and public for maintaining the peace in the state was need of the hour. Addressing the Senior Police Officers meeting of Jammu province here today, Mr. Khoda said that communication system need to be strengthened at all levels with focus on improving relations with the public. He said while taking action against law breakers, better relations need to be ensured with the public to provide due justice to their cases. The main issues which come under threadbare discussion in the meeting include for improving the professional policing, communication system, crime rate, maintenance of office records, time bound follow-up of cases and implementation of action plans, timely utilization of funds, disposal of pending investigation cases, acquisition of land, improvement of I.T. facilities and administrative matters on priority. While reviewing the working of traffic system, Mr. Khoda said that necessary logistic support should always be available at various points on national high way and other district routes for running smooth traffic system in the state so that the people would not suffer during their travel. He said expeditious action for mitigating the pending crime cases should be taken for their settlement. He said that construction works presently under execution in the districts should be monitored and completed within the time bound period. Mr. Khoda said that newly created districts would be given thrust and all the logistic support and other facilities would be provided to them, for running their day-to-day work smoothly. He said today’s meeting was very fruitful and suggestions put forth in the meeting by all senior and district officers would be sorted out and every facility would be provided to the all districts in a shortest possible time. |
