BFDC demands Shrine Board Bawe Wali Mata
10/12/2018 10:06:22 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 12: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) held a press conference for demanding "Shrine Board for Bawe Wali Mata".
BFDC President Kr. Rajeev Charak briefed that we have started our campaign for constitution of Shrine Board for Bawe wali Mata Temple in 1997. He further said that since 1997 till now our organization stick to its stand and campaign in various ways, "Dharnas, Protest, Whisper Campaign, Press Conference and Statements, Meetings" but "There is some conspiracy to put our demand on back burner to save the interest of a particular family (priests of the temple), who looted the wealth of temple with impunity from years, and all successive Governments are responsible for this. He said during last BJP-PDP Govt. our demand will took seriously and we are highly thankful to all concerned departments, Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner who framed Shrine Bill and give their consents. Now we urge His Excellency the Governor of State Satya Pal Malik to kindly consider our demand on merits and in the interest of public at large kindly order may pass for the constitution of Shrine Board. Charak said that "Constitution of shrine board for Bahu Fort is not only developing Bawe Wali Mata Shrine but the whole south end of Jammu Tawi."
He said that with the running of train to Katra, Jammu traders suffered a lot because of the lack of developmental and attraction centers at Jammu and if the board is constituted then it's a way forward towards over all development of Jammu as Independent tourist destination. Charak further added that the annual income of temple's are in Crores but unfortunately the whole money goes to a single family and not a single penny is invested for development. The members of family run business establishments buy luxury properties in and outside the state and not even pay any tax as donation money is unaccounted.
