| Three held, ‘blind murder case solved’ | | | Early Times Reporter Katra | Mar 15 Katra police today claimed to have solved a blind murder case. Giving details, police sources said that an unidentified body was found on railway track near village Arahi, Kathua. To investigate the matter a police team was constituted by SSP Reasi, Jagdish Lal Sharma led by SO Shemshar Singh Sambyal under the supervision of SDPO Jugal Sharma and Additional SP Ashok Sharma. The police team after conducting many raids and traps nabbed three persons identified as Jagdev Singh S/o Prem Singh r/o Badotra, Dalveer Kumar alias Billa s/o Shiv Dass r/o Pull Dhoriyan and Manjeet Kumar alias Tindu S/o Vijay Kumar r/o Pull Dhoriyan. During interrogation they elicit that they had committed murder on Deepak Kumar S/o Ferma Singh r/o Patna, Bihar and threw his body on railway track. They also revealed police that the deceased was their companion and kingpin of their gang. They murdered him after a dispute arose on distribution of robbed money. Police has also recovered some sharp edged weapons from them. A case under FIR number 1818/2008, under section 302 RPC has been lodged in this regard. Their interrogation was on to have more information, sources said. |
