| Cop suspended for grabbing of stake money, video goes viral | | |

Jammu, Oct 12: A constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) has been suspended by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Police Control Room (PCR) Jammu for grabbing stake money from the gamblers at Rajiv Nagar at Narwal area. "The Cop was suspended while time bound enquiry has been initiated after a video went viral on social media where the cop was seen in grabbing money from a gambling den at Rajiv Nagar at Narwal", said police officials.
As per the report, a video went viral on social media in which the gamblers are playing card in Narwal area and in the meantime a police constable namely Satpaul of Police Control Room (PCR) presently deputed with PCR van at Narwal area visited the spot, he rather than taking action against them grabbed the stake money.
Official order reads that time bound enquiry for misconduct on part of concerned constable. |
