Chhatra Shaheed Memorial Football Tournament reaches Pre-quarterfinal stage

JAMMU, Oct 12: Chhatra Shaheed Memorial Football Tournament-2018 organized by Jammu Joint Students' Federation (JJSF) under the aegis of JKFA, Jammu and sponsored by J&K Bank Ltd today entered into the stage of pre-quarter-finals. The last match of the first qualifier stage played was played between Hero Club and Young Star Football Club. The match was won by Hero Club by 2-1 score. The other match of the tournament which was played today was 1st Pre-quarter final played between Young Hero Football Club (FC) and Sainik Colony Football Club.
No team could score any goal and the score of the match was 0-0 till end. The result of the match was decided during tie-breaker where Hero FC won with 4-3 score. The referees who officiated the first match were Suresh Gupta, Rahul Sharma, Honey Mehra and Dil Bahadur and the referees who officiated the second match were Honey, Suresh Gupta, Amit Verma and Rahul Sharma.
K D Singh was the chief guest of the pre-quarter final match and Rakesh Khajuria @Raju Pehalwan was the guest of honour on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the tournament is played on Knock-out basis and 20 registered clubs are participating in the tournament.
