Early Times Report

Poonch, Oct 15: Most of the Government offices and schools remained closed off and on in the subdivision Surankote giving a reason to the locals to express their resentment over the functioning of the administration sources said here today. We face official apathy as the government offices present a deserted look here and we fail to undesrstand what the administration is doing? said an elderly person who added that he had been visiting a government office for the last quite some time but turns back to home as he finds no staff present there who could help him to do his work. Most worst condition was the schools of area. School children reach their respective schools in time and remain there full day but no teacher comes there to teach them hence they turn back in the evening without doing anything. The locals who were irked over the attitude of the employees of the government whose lackadaisical approach have left the locals in lurch besides the study of the school children suffer a lot. A local Akash Malik has urged into SDM Surankote Mohd. Salim Qureshi and DDC Poonch to constitute a team of officers and pay a visit to the Government offices and schools in the subdivision and initiate an official enquiry against the staff who remain often absent from their duties citing any reason.
