| Science Park at Army school | | | Early Times Reporter

Sadhna Loomba, President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) inaugurated the Science Park at Army School, Jammu Cantt today. The function was attended by Major General Sanjeev Loomba, GOC 26 Infantry Division and Brigadier M S Koshal, Chairman of the school. The dignitaries were given a warm welcome by Mrs Anu Jandial, the Principal of the school and the teaching faculty.
They were later ushered around the park and explained the 19 open air science gadgets and experimental models spread over two acre of land. Display boards were also set up covering various disciplines like mechanics, sound, light, heat, chemistry, biology and applied science to promote play way and activity based learning.
While addressing the gathering General Loomba expressed deep satisfaction at the growth and development in all spheres of the school. He said that in the age of science and technology it was important for children to see how things work and cultivate the spirit of enquiry and experimentation. He lauded the efforts of the school authorities in maintaining high standards of excellence. |
