| Rs 72 crore sanctioned for Basohli Ravi bridge | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 17 The Centre has sanctioned Rs 72 crore for the construction of Basohli Ravi Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. "The Central government has sanctioned Rs 72 crore for constructing the Basholi Ravi bridge in the state and it would be completed in two years time," Minister of State for Defence Pallam Raju said yesterday. The tender process would be completed within three months, he said, while inspecting the site for the proposed bridge over Ravi river in Kathua district. Brigadier U S Dadu, chief executive, project Sampark, briefed the plans to the Minister on the construction of the bridge. MP Choudhary Lal Singh said the bridge will connect Basohli with Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and would give boost to the economy of the area. |
