| Ravinder supports cause of border residents; assures fair deal | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 17 Supporting the cause of border villagers, the JKPCC spokesperson Ravinder Sharma today assured that he would demand an inquiry into the alleged neglect of these areas, besides taking their problems at the highest level for early redressal. Sharma, who was on a 4-day extensive tour of several border villages including Lam, Jhangar, Pukharni, Kampla, Sanjana and Rajal areas of Tehsil Nowshera interacted with cross section of people and listened to their problems. The residents of Kampla and other villages complained of discrimination in the matter of development and alleged that most of the villages san the basic amenities like power, drinking water, road connectively and the healthcare. At Kampla alone, the residents said, 200 families were facing acute problem due to non availability of electricity, drinking water and health care facilities. Despite having 85 per cent population of SCs no Anganwari centre existed in the area. The visiting PCC spokesperson assured the agitating inhabitants that he would take up these issues with the higher authorities for early redressal. |
