| 10 burglars arrested, several cases solved | | | Early Times Reporter Kathua | Mar 17 Kathua police has claimed to have solved several theft cases in the area. Giving details police sources said that on tip off a police team led by in charge police post Ramkote under the supervision of ASB Benam Tosh and SSP J.P Singh conducted raid and held ten burglars who were active in the area for quite some time. They have been identified as Ram Singh S/o Bagat Ram r/o Ram nagar, Misri S/o Sain, Sansar S/o Santu Ram, Rattan Singh S/o Rumal Singh, Vinod Kumar alias Bantu S/o Prem Chand all residents of Billawar. Mathu S/o Gopal Chand, r/o Surankote, Hameed S/o Sardaru r/o Dhankhadi, Nazir S/o Ghulam r/o Dhankhadi, Makhan Singh s/o Munshi Ram r/o Billawar and Pritam Singh s/o Kartar Singh r/o Jakhni, Billawar. Numbers of theft cases have been lodged in different police stations against them. The accused stole cattle from different areas and sold them to other areas. Pertinent to mention here that Kathua police has solved ten theft cases and arrested twenty one in this month. Meanwhile their interrogation was on to elict more information, sources said. |
