Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has asked Deputy Commissioners of Kathua, Udhampur, Poonch, Kishtwar and Doda to arrange accommodation for the newly sanctioned offices of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages in these districts.
The instructions were passed on during a high level meeting chaired by Mr. Azad here this evening to discuss the events for the fortnight long Jammu Festival starting from April 1.
The Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, who was present in the meeting, drew the attention of the Chief Minister towards the difficulty the organisation felt in running the newly created offices in the face of absence of accommodation.
Upon this, the Chief Minister asked the concerned Deputy Commissioners to provide accommodation for these offices of the Academy. He also asked the Deputy Commissioner, Kathua to look for an alternate accommodation for the security forces presently occupying the Academy building.
