| Home Commissioner interacts with senior police officers | | | Early Times Reporter

S.S.Kapoor, who took over as Home Commissioner recently, visited the police headquarters today to have an interaction with senior police officers.
Official sources said that it was Kapoor’s first visit to the police headquarters for the purpose of meeting senior officers jointly instead of officers visiting his office one by one. The Director General Police, Kuldeep Khoda, introduced senior officers of the rank of IGs to the new Home Commissioner.
Sources said that Kapoor was briefed about the security situation in the state and the police readiness for meeting any challenge. Those heading intelligence, personnel and modernization wings of the police explained to Kapoor the functions and responsibilities of each wing.
The Home Commissioner appreciated the role of the police and he was assured by Khoda that state police had gained appreciation from various quarters for the valuable role its men have been playing in containing the activities of militants and in bringing down the level of crime graph. |
