| Student beaten up for abusing | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar18 A student was allegedly beaten up by his teacher has been admitted to the government hospital in Gandhi Nagar.The student was punished by his teacher for calling him names and disobeying him. Identified as 10 year old Mohd Arif, student of class V studying in Renu Public school in Satwari has received multiple injuries on his back, legs and chest and is presently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Resting on his hospital bed in the emergency ward of the hospital, Mohd Arif described how his teacher identified as Suraj Prakash, a retired lecturer, thrashed him on Monday evening as he was upset with the conduct of Arif for past several days. It is learnt that Suraj Prakash alleged thrashed Mohd Arif after few slass mates of Arif confessed to school teacher that Arif used to call him names and was disobeying him . Mohd Latif, father of Mohd Arif admitted that he had earlier received complaints from Arif ‘s teacher but on Monday evening his son was beaten by the teacher in full public view .He hit him in the abdomen, back and his legs were badly hurt, Mohd Latif said sitting by his son in the govt hospital,Meanwhile school teacher pleading not guilty claimed that he had not thrashed Mohd Arif. |
