| SP avoids comment on formation of third front in J&K | | ‘Criticises ban on recruitments; warns on backdoor appointments’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 18 Avoiding any comment on the recent statement of CPM leader and PDP rebel about formation of third front in the state, Samajwadi Party (SP) has said that the party was already spearheading the formation of 3rd front at the national level. Stating that several like minded parties, including the leftists, are most likely to join the proposed front in near future, the SP said it would not be proper for the present to comment on the statement of the CPM leader MY Tarigami and former PDP leader G.H Mir. However, it said, over a dozen party workers from the state are visiting Jabalpur to attend national plenary session beginning from March 26, the matter could be discussed in the general council at the national level and final decision taken after due consultation with the central leadership, a party hand out said. Referring to the Government order of March 5 banning fresh recruitments and stopping interviews, the SP was apprehensive of deep conspiracy to make appointments through back door entry and provide ample chance to absorb the kiths and kin of the ruling partners. The party has warned of serious consequences if any attempt was made to fill 40,000 vacant posts through backdoor entries and unconstitutional manner. |
