Car stolen from Ramada hotel's parking recovered

Jammu, Oct 23: Nowabad police recovered the car that was stolen from the parking lot of luxurious hotel Ramada near Dogra Chowk from Beerpur area falling under the jurisdiction of Bari Brahmana police station. Meanwhile, the security scenario of the hotel also came under scanner after the incident of lifting of a car from the parking lot.
Police said that after receiving of complaint a case in this connection has been registered under FIR no. 124/18 under section 379 of RPC at police station Nawabad.
Police sources said that during investigation of the case CCTV footage of the hotel premises including parking lot was scrutinized wherein it was established that two persons took the car from hotel's parking.
Meanwhile, police also launched search operation and recovered the car from Beerpur area of Bari Brahmana in Samba district where it was parked. However, there is no formal arrest in this connection.
It is pertinent to mention here that the car was parked in velvet parking of a luxurious hotel here was stolen on 19th of October night and as per the complainant the car Hundai, Grand I-10 Sportz (JK02BW-0326) was found missing by the hotel staff when car owner after having dinner with his family at Chinar Restaurant in Hotel Ramada returned at hotel lobby to collect his car.
The car owner had handed over the car keys at Valet desk of the Hotel at around 1920 hours and after having dinner at the restaurant, at around 2200 hours, when he asked the valet desk to bring his car, he was informed that his car was missing from the parking area.
On being asked that an FIR has been lodged in this matter and the stolen car was also recovered buy the police, the security head again denied and said that no vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the hotel.
