A Youth Wing of Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha may not have got the importance, identity and fame for several years as much the Kashmir High Court Bar Association has accorded to it.
The Bar Association which is a constituent part of the Hurriyat Conference is out to allege that life of its members is under danger from the Kranti Dal and Parshuram Dal –the youth wing of the Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha. Interestingly, the danger aroused from the verbal protest which these organization lodged when Bar members were visiting the Kot Bhalwal jail to meet detenues.
The Bar Association reacted to the extent that the work in Srinagar wing of the High Court and district courts was suspended to air their protest. When people knew the reason, it made the two organizations more famous than they ever had aspired to.
Shree Kerni, president Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Dal in a statement issued here alleged that KBA, which claims to be a frontal/overground organization of militant organizations is trying to deceive the people of Kashmir and their masters across the border. He said that KBA is alleged to have been receiving crores of rupees for taking care of the militants lodged in jails but have been doing nothing on ground. And to justify their usurping of crores of rupees they are making populist slogans like visiting the detenues in jails.
Kerni said that militants through organizations like Kashmir Bar Associations are trying to raise the bogey of human rights to harass the upright and honest officers like Jail Superintendent Mr. Mirza.
He said that Parshuram Dal activitis were protesting against the members of KBA in a peaceful and democratic manner and despite provocations, they did not resort to any violent means. "The KBA by trying to raise the bogey of threat to life and assault are trying to gain the sympathy and get more money from across the border through Hawala channels.
