| Maj Gen Ganguly takes over new commandant of Command Hospital | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 19 Major General D Ganguly has taken over as the new commandant of the prestigious Command Hospital (Northern Command)) from Major General Naresh Kumar, who has been posted as Major General (Med) of Command Headquarters (Northern Command). General Ganguly, an alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College Pune, has specialized in surgery and got his super specialty in cardiothoracic surgery from Royal Hospital Australia. A cardiothoracic surgeon of International repute, General Ganguly has presented and published many research papers. General Ganguly was born in Kolkatta and has done schooling from Pune. He has also served in Sultanate of Oman .He is also recognized teacher at Pune and Delhi University. In a brilliant career spanning more than 35 years, General Ganguly has achieved many laurels and has been twice conferred with Vishist Seva medals by President of India for his outstanding contribution to the Army Medical Corps.
