| Bhim Rath’ completes Parikarma of J&K | | | Early Times Reporter Poonch | Mar 19 The silver jubilee carvan of JKNPP led by its chairman, Prof. Bhim Singh completed Parikarma of J&K, which started from district Kupwara on February 25, and concluded here. Addressing a rally at historic fort ground here, Bhim paid rich tributes to brigadier Rajinder Singh, Brigadier Pritam Singh and Abdul Qadir Bandey who saved Kashmir, and liberated Poonch from siege of Pakistan in 1948. He urged upon the Prime Minister of India to take up the issue of relaxing the restrictions on the permits required to cross of LoC and accused Anglo-American bloc for invading Iraq and supporting Israel who had occupied Palestine in 1967. Bhim also demanded release of payments to the contractors in connection with mid day meals. He expressed regrets for ignoring the welfare and development of the people of Poonch during the past 60 years. MLA and senior vice president of the JKNPP Fariq Nath strongly condemned congress PDP government for deliberately rejecting the CPM. He said NC, congress and PDP have anti dogra attitude and they shall never allow the people of Jammu to get their due share. He demanded implementation of the delimitation commission. He declared that if the people elect Panthers party to power, Prof. Bhim Singh shall be the first Dogra Chief Minister. Others who addressed the meeting included Neelam Mahajan, Thakur Girdhari La, J.B Singh and Janaki Devi. |
