Kanachak Police succeeded to arrest four thieves who were involved in two theft cases which occurred during the intervening night of March 9 and 10 and Feb. 13 and 14, 2008. reports revealed that, two theft cases which took place in Migrant camp Mishriwala and Chak-Mahani near Baba Talab Mishriwala under the jurisdiction of police station Kanachak respectively. In this regard case FIR No. 34 U/S 380, 457 RPC stands registered at police station Kanachak respectively. Upon this the police swung into action and SSP Jammu Parminder Singh constituted a team of police officers/officials headed by SDPO Akhnoor Attul Sharma. The SHO Kanachak Ravinder Singh Rakwal personally investigates the cases. After series of frequent raids at different places, finally succeeded in arresting the four thieves namely Hira Lal s/o Darm Paul, Sonu Kumar s/o Vilati Ram, Darshan Lal s/o Hans Raj and Sonu Kumar r/o Papu Ram all residents of Dhayaran. The accused persons confessed their crime and police recovered two LPG Gas cylinders, two TV sets, one Motor and an iron rod from their possession. The arrested thieves are being questioning to know about their other activities associated and further investigation of the cases is going on. More recoveries are expected from them.
