| Coalition ignores upliftment of women fold: Sadhotra | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 20 A one day Women’s Conference was organized at Village Halka in Marh Assemly constituency under the chairmanship of Darshana Bhagat, a National Conference leader. Addressing the conference provincial president and MLA Ajay Sadhotra, who charged government of ignoring the women folk and said that women are facing lot of difficulties and it is unfortunate that there is no one form the government side to listen to their genuine grievances. He said poor deserving people have been ignored while making the list of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in the state especially of Marh Assembly constituency. The schemes which are coming for poverty elevation are not peculating down below. The funds are being bungled and corruption is touching the sky, he sadi. It has become very difficult for women folk to run their household in view of the unprecedented price rice. The old and widow women are facing lot of difficulties for getting their pensions. The BPL ration is not reaching to the deserving and the common families are facing lot of difficulties due to rise in unemployment in the state. Sadhotra said it is unfortunate that various political parties instead of serving the people and helping them in getting their grievance redressed they are trying to use money power. He asked the women folk to beware of such forces and teach them a lesson in the ensuing assembly elections. Those who were present on the occasion include Th. Baldev Singh, Sub. Gasita Ram, Jagdish Raj Numbardar, Charanjit Singh, Master Milkhi Ram, Vijay Lochan, Rakesh Gupta, Pyara Singh, Raj Kumari, Kanta Sharma, Swarna Sharma, Sunita Devi, Muni Devi, Surjit Kour, Choudhary Surjit, Manjit Kour, Kartaro Devi, Prito Devi, Begum Nariza Bano, Darshana Devi Sharma and Anita Chib.
