Santoor maestro releases Ashwani Chandel's Ashaftgi Ashaftgi- a collection of short stories in Urdu, written by young Ahwani Chandel under the pen name `Ashk Bhaderwahi', was formally released by renowned Santoor maestro Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma and Additional MD JK Channel Mr Rajinder Arora during an impressive
function at Jammu.
The book contains ten short stories in which the writer has highlighted plights of militancy hit people in the State and alsothrown light on some social evils, which are still persisting in rural areas, particularly remote villages.
Releasing the book, Pt Shiv Kumar congratulated Mr Ashwani Chandel for his maiden work and hoped that the book would invite tremendous response of readers because of its thought provoking short stories. Director Programming Mr Surjit Singh Jamwal, Prof (Retd) K L Verma were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
