Asserting that gun has no role in resolving any issue, Deputy Chief Minister and senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Muzaffar Hussain Beig on Thursday said that Kashmir issue can be solved only through dialogue process. Addressing a public meeting, here today, Beig said that his party has always projected the cause of common people of the state and has worked for the peace and tranquility of the state. "Besides peace and development in the state, coalition government put efforts to bring India and Pakistan on table for resolution of Kashmir through dialogues." Adding he said, "India and Pakistan has already initiated dialogue process to find out the resolution of Kashmir issue but we have been strongly demanding confidence building measures like Srinagar-Muzaffarabad Bus service, which will provide relief to the people facing bloodshed and violence from decades," Beigh further claimed that cross LoC trade is likely to start which will further boost the economy and tourism of the state. Coming down heavily upon the opposition National Conference, the deputy chief minister accused the party (NC) leadership of resorting to pity politics for their own vested interests. He said that NC has always misled people of Kashmir since its inception by false propaganda. "They have done historical blunders due to which people of Kashmir are suffering till now and people of Jammu and Kashmir will never forgive them for their misdeeds". He further added, "It was Dr Farooq Abdullah who wanted resolution Kashmir issue through atom bomb and launching a frontal war against neighbouring Pakistan".
