| HM Battalion Commander killed at Bazipora | | | Early Times Reporter

Security forces today claimed to have killed a self-styled Battalion Commander of HM outfit wanted in several extortion and killings at Bazipora Ajas in a joint operation during wee hours on Thursday.
Police sources told KMT that after receiving an input about presence of some militants in village Bazipora Ajas, cops of police, 13 RR and 5RR rushed towards the spot and laid the cordon.
As the security forces cops were engaged in cordoning off the area they came under heavy fire, which was equally retaliated by them.
In the ensuing firefight, which lasted for more than an hour, Battalion commander of HM was eliminated.
Identifying the slain militant as Muneer Ahmed Lali, S/O Gul Zaman Khan, R/O Bazipora, he said that One AK-47 rifle and some arms and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the eliminated militant.
He further revealed that the slain militant was wanted by Police in number of extortion cases and killings of innocent civilians, including the killing of one Ghulam Hassan Dar and his daughter, and murder of one Zubair Khan and Bashir Baand in Ajas Bazipora area
