Deputations from Noorabad Bilawar, Anantnag and Kupwara today called on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed here and apprised him of the problems of their respective areas.
A deputation from Danew Kandimarg, Kulgam voiced their demanded for a lift irrigation scheme which is the long pending demand of the area as the people are facing acute shortage of water especially for their orchards. The deputation demanded that the electricity charges for the last four months of winter be waived off as this area remained almost without electricity for this period because most of the electric poles were damaged due to the heavy snowfall. They also demanded adequate staff for higher secondary school Danew Kandimarg as the students are facing lot of problems due the non-availability of the staff.
The PDP Patron assured the deputations that their demands and issues would be taken up for redressal at the appropriate level.
