Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 23 A one day workshop on women empowerment was organized at Brahman Sabha, Parade by Akhand Yoga, under the secret of true living here today. The workshop which was presided over by Patron Akhand Yoga Dr. Brijbala Vasihth was attended by large number of people. Highlighting the problems facing the women, Dr. Sunil Vasisth, founder of Akhand Yoga, said, it is extremely unfortunate that despite being an embodiment of true love, sacrifice, and hard work, women, who constitute fifty percent of the human population and have played a momentous role in bringing the world to its present level of civilization have been the worst victims of bias, prejudice, double standards and narrow mindedness, across cultures and times. Taking strong exception to the persistence of the problems of women even in the present era, he said it is a shame that a highly aware, educated and developed society of today has failed to address the woes of women in a satisfactory way. It not only falsifies out tall claims of making great strides in all spheres of life but bares the ugly reality of hypocrisy and duplicity underlying our attitudes. Later, Dr. Vasishth initiated the participants in various psycho-spiritual techniques of Akhand Yoga, including Oorja, Saubhagya-wardhini Kriya, Bhava Siddhi, Shakti Kriya, Shaktipata and Akhand Samadhi. Earlier Pawanesh Abdrol, deptt. of computer sciences and information technology, university of Jammu, welcomed the participants and threw light on various problems facing women.
