Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev remembered

Glowing tributes were paid to great martyrs of the country, Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev by large number of people, which including political leaders and students at various places in the region. Speakers on the occasion remembered the these hero’s who sacrificed these lives to get India free from the foreign rule. J&K Pradesh Congress Seva Dal organized a blood donation camp at SMGS Hospital, in which Seva Dal workers in large number donated blood. Chairman of Dal, Balvinder Singh Sambyal on the occasion said, that the new generation of the country should be fully apprised that the sacrifices made by Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukh Dev. He said it is out duty to follow foot steps of these great leaders and also them the path of vioance and work for the nation. Among others present on the occasion were, SS Jamwal, Anil Sharma, J.K Koul, Vipan Nichal, Anil Sharma, Yudhvir Singh, Ishas Dass, Kursheed, R.S Chib and Hardev Billoria. President, Duggar Pradesh Party Uday Chand at function paid glowing tributes and said, it is due to their scarifies we live in democratic step, but it is very sad, that the successive government at the centre and national leaders deliberately ignored the sacrifices of these great men. Secretary general of the party Mohan Singh urged upon the youth of Jammu to be more vigilant, as enemies of the country are bent upon to disrupt pace of development and unity in the country. Another leader Inder Pal Singh said it is very sad that the sprit of patriotism has vanished from the society due to corrupt political system and for got the supremers sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev. Others who also spoke on the occasion and paid rich tributes were, Varsha Suri, Kulveer Charak, Ram Singh, Mangal Dass, Madan Singh, Ashok Singh, Pawan Sharma and Jamal Din.
National students union of India (NSUI) along with Jatt Youth federation jointly organized a function in memory of Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev and paid rich tributes to them. On the occasion students garlanded that photograph of martyrs and should slogan in their honour, and threw light on the martyrs day. Students on the occasion demanded that statues of these leaders be installed at Jewel Chowk. Among others who spoke were Vijay Pathania, Ravinder Chowdhary, Vivek Gupta, Perminder Singh and Manjeet Singh. J&K state committee of CPI (M), general secretary, M.Y Tarigami also paid rich tributes to martyrs. In a statement Tarigami said that the martyrs were the great revolutionaries who launched an effective struggle for national liberation, democracy and social justice. Their supreme sacrifices made by them will be remembered among the greatest martyrs of the 20th century. Jaswant Gupta, Sr. Leader BJP along with party workers paid tribute to martyrs at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park at Digiana and two minutes silence was observed on the occasion. He on the occasion urged upon the people especially younger generation follow the path shown by these great leaders. Those who spoke on the occasion were Varinderjeet Singh, Harminder Singh, M.P Singh Sambyal, Prem Singh Raina, Kuku Singh, Kulwant Singh Bhatti, K.K Parooch and Romesh Jandial. S. Varinder Singh demanded that a statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh is to be installed in Bhagat Singh Memorial park Digiana, Jammu because there is not any statue of Shaheed-A-Azam in Jammu. Corporator, Babal Gupta on the occasion, distribute note books and pencils among poor children of the ward. Addressing the residents of war, he said the sacrifices made by these great martyrs will be remembered for countries together. Among others who paid their homage were Rajan Sharma, Tilak Raj Ram Murti Sharma, Rocky Gupta, Anu Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Prem Lal and Bansi Lal.
At Kathua, workers of Jan Jagrati Manch organized motorcycle rally from old bus stand to Bhagat Singh Park. People of the town welcomed the rally and garlanded the statue of Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev. Zakir Hussain, Akshay Kumar, Harinder, Manohar, Babu Rajan and Rahul took oath to work for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden people and spread massage of brotherhood and communal harmony. Akhil Bharti Vidayarth Parishad unit of the district also celebrates the day. Activists of Parishad took march past from Mukerjee Chowk to Shaheedi Chowk. Among others Naveen Sudan, Vishal and Jaideep led the procession.
