Bhagwan Parshuram Dal activists, the youth wing of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, today held a protest demonstration here demanding arrest of Kashmir Bar Association President and others for trying to incite communal and regional passions. The protestors burnt an effigy of KBA delegation and other separatist leaders raising slogans against them.
Addressing the gathering Shree Kerni, President Parshuram Dal said that Kashmir Bar Association has always been playing anti-India and pro-Pak role and spreading lies to further their own ends. He said that this is the same Bar, which opposed the installation of statue of Mahatma Gandhi, an apostle of peace and communal harmony.
Kerni alleged that Kashmir Bar Association has been receiving huge funds from across the border and to justify its expenditure they have been raising the bogey of human rights violations of detenues and militants.
Kerni said that KBA delegation has been lying on the whole episode outside Kot-Balwal jail to gain sympathy and malign the jail authorities, security forces and create hatred among the people of Kashmir and Jammu region. He said that Parshuram Dal activists were protesting peacefully against the visit of KBA delegation to Kot-Balwal jail and there was no question of making them hostage or any violence against them.
Kerni said that it is a shame on their part to tell lie to people in Kashmir and world at large, as everybody knows, that the protest was all peaceful. He said that youth of Jammu is strongly against the protégés of Pakistan who are trying to spread violence in the state. Paying tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Kerni said that people of India have gained Independence after numerous sacrifices by leaders like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Lala lajpat Rai and people would not allow anybody to break our great nation.
Bhagwan Parshuram Dal activists strongly urged the government to initiate action against the KBA leaders and arrest them at the earliest so that they are not able to vitiate the atmosphere.
Others, who addressed the gathering, were Rajesh Bargotra, Kuldeep Samnotra, Darshan Kerni and Vikas Gandotra.
